ASTM Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments (ESA)

Overview

A comprehensive investigation of a property is conducted in order to determine if any Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs) exist at a subject property. A Phase 1 is conducted or supervised by a qualified Environmental Professional (EP) in accordance with the latest ASTM Standard (E1527-21) and in compliance with the EPA’s All Appropriate Inquiries (AAI)  standard. The Phase 1 ESA includes systematic research of current and past on-site and surrounding property uses; interviews; a site inspection; a review of government databases; a municipal file review, and a review of historical sources.
